About the Role

You’ll work closely with product managers, engineering teams, and change implementation specialists to deliver robust, reliable solutions while contributing to the evolution of our technology.

This role blends hands-on application engineering with technical oversight, product configuration, and first-line support. You’ll help implement product changes, resolve engineering challenges, and ensure quality and safety are upheld throughout the product lifecycle. From supporting new product launches to collaborating on continuous improvement, this is a role where your contribution will directly impact the success of Ocado’s technology operations worldwide.

We currently have opportunities across our BOT, Grid, Peripheral Mobile Robotics (PMR) and 3rd Party teams, so don’t hesitate to apply. Your application will need to consist of your CV, a cover letter detailing your suitability and interest, and your yearbook. We look forward to reviewing your application.

About you

  • Able and prepared to travel internationally supporting our global engineering operations.
  • You'll have spent two years in the Hardware Engineering Graduate program.
  • You have strong technical expertise in engineering systems, automation, or related fields, with hands-on experience in project engineering, commissioning, and field installation.
  • You bring a proactive, flexible approach and thrive in dynamic environments, adapting quickly to change and staying composed under pressure—even when working independently or remotely.
  • A confident communicator, you can explain complex technical issues clearly to a range of stakeholders and are comfortable producing documentation and delivering presentations.
  • You actively demonstrate Ocado Technology’s values, sharing knowledge, collaborating effectively, and working with optimism to deliver outcomes that satisfy all stakeholders.
  • You hold a relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification, are safety-conscious, and have a solid understanding of industry standards, compliance, and technical tools like CAD and Microsoft Office/Google Suite.
