What you will be doing:

  • Receive incoming shipments of goods and materials, verifying quantities, inspecting items for damage or discrepancies, and accurately recording information in inventory systems.
  • Assist in unloading and transporting received items to designated storage locations within the warehouse or fulfillment center, using material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
  • Support the Inbound Team Lead in assigning tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
  • Train and mentor junior operators on inbound processes, equipment operation, and safety procedures, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Monitor and track inbound activities, including receiving, inspection, and storage, to ensure timely and accurate processing of incoming shipments and compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Purchasing, Inventory Management, and Operations, to resolve discrepancies, process returns, and reconcile inventory discrepancies as needed.
  • Assist in conducting regular inspections of inbound areas and equipment, identifying maintenance issues or safety hazards, and reporting them to the Inbound Team Lead or designated supervisor.
  • Support efforts to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the inbound area, including removing debris, sweeping floors, and maintaining aisles and walkways free of obstructions.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Inbound Team Lead or designated supervisor.
