Procurement Manager – APAC
What You'll Be Doing
The Procurement Manager – APAC will lead strategic sourcing and procurement activities for Data Centre development and operations across the Asia-Pacific region. This role is responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating complex contracts, driving cost optimization, mitigating supply chain risk, and ensuring timely delivery of mission-critical infrastructure components.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in data centre construction, MEP systems, IT infrastructure procurement, or large-scale infrastructure sourcing within APAC markets.
About You
Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
- Develop and execute procurement strategies (CAPEX & OPEX) for APAC Data Centre projects
- Lead sourcing for key categories including:
- Critical power (UPS & Batteries, Generators, Switchgears, Transformers, etc)
- Cooling systems (CRAC/CRAH/Fan Walls/Rear Door Coolers, Chillers, Cooling Towers, etc)
- Racks and containment
- Network and IT hardware
- Construction and MEP contractors
- Conduct RFx processes (RFI/RFP/RFQ) and supplier evaluations
- Drive total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis and cost benchmarking
Supplier & Contract Management
- Manage Multi-Site Agreements (MSAs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and supplier performance reviews to maintain quality, safety, and operational reliability.
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing agreements, and long-term supply contracts.
- Build and manage strategic supplier relationships across APAC markets.
- Monitor supplier performance, quality, delivery timelines, and compliance.
- Mitigate supply chain risks including capacity constraints and geopolitical impacts.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Partner with Engineering, Construction, Operations, and Finance teams.
- Support new data centre builds, expansions, and retrofits.
- Ensure procurement milestones align with project schedules.
- Provide procurement updates and reporting to senior leadership.
Risk & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and governance standards.
- Manage regional regulatory and import/export requirements.
- Develop contingency plans for critical equipment and long lead items.
Cost Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Identify cost-saving opportunities across APAC markets.
- Leverage volume aggregation and regional contracts.
- Drive process improvements and procurement digitization initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field
- At least 7-10 years of Procurement experience, with at least 3 years in Data Centre, infrastructure, or mission-critical environments.
- Strong procurement experience in APAC markets
- Proven track record negotiating high-value contracts.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems and data centre infrastructure preferred.
- Experience managing multi-country supplier networks.
- Strategic thinking and commercial acumen
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Cross-cultural stakeholder management
- Risk assessment and mitigation
- Analytical and financial modeling skills
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent capital projects
