Keyline Industries is a leading manufacturer of keys, key cutting machines and transponders. In addition, Keyline Industries is a unique manufacturer of Industrial automated machines for the security industry and home & building automation – through the brands ACS and Allmatic.
POSITION TITLE: Sales Manager
REPORTS TO: Sales Director
DIRECT REPORTS: None
FLSA STATUS: Exempt / Full Time
LOCATION: Office is located in North Olmstead, OH –
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sales Manager will be responsible for maintaining and growing our existing customer base, cultivating a network of new customers, and establishing a Distributor program. This position will be critical for helping achieve our growth targets.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish strategies and implement tactics to identify new target markets and segments.
- Maximize opportunities for expansion within existing corporate customer channels.
- Identify growth opportunities through new Distributor partnerships.
- Cultivate and manage the business-to-business relationships within the distribution network.
- Leverage distributor relationships by coordinating sales and service coverage within network, to accelerate Keyline growth in critical sales channels.
- Develop Salesforce to be a more robust CRM tool that is fully capable of tracking trends, market conditions, competitive activity, and identifying sales opportunities.
- Effectively communicate voice of customer (VOC) feedback to internal stakeholders and partners.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / ENVIRONMENT:
Note: A combination of education and experience outside of the standards below may also be considered.
MINIMUM FORMAL EDUCATION: A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 8+ years of sales and business development experience
- Type of Experience Required or Preferred: Proven industrial sales experience required. This role will engage with a variety of customers in various business channels.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Road warrior, who is willing to travel 50%+ of the year.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:
- Demonstrated selling and customer account management experience, including solid negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to grasp technical product knowledge.
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal) and a proven ability to engage with internal and external customers.
- Naturally curious mindset and a willingness to find solutions and more effective ways of working.
- Computer proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products is required, experience with SAP and Salesforce is preferred.
- Proven ability to utilize CRM / Salesforce data analytics, reporting, and forecasting information to guide business decisions.
- An ability to work independently, effectively supporting conflicting priorities and deadlines.
- Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit with a desire to grow the business.
- Demonstrated ability to execute sales plans and overcome obstacles.
- Strong attention to detail, planning and execution is essential.
- Comfortable working with changing priorities and performing other duties as assigned, without formal notice.
