IoT Engineer

Keyline Industries is a leading manufacturer of keys, key cutting machines and transponders. In addition, Keyline Industries is a unique manufacturer of Industrial automated machines for the security industry and home & building automation – through the brands ACS and Allmatic.
About the role
This role is part of the R&D team focused on developing key cutting machine communication stack as well as the evolutionary maintenance of tools and processes already in use, in an international context.

What you'll do
- Create and develop devices, sensors, and software that allows the devices to connect seamlessly with other systems
- Research, create, test, and document IoT solutions with integrated systems and devices
- Design, code, and test features of IoT devices
- Develop with platform solutions that are cloud-compatible and work with IoT applications
- Support and troubleshoot challenges with IoT on site
- Lead the engineering processes within squads to provide solutions to challenges related to the connection of networks and platforms
- Analyze user needs and work as service designer from a technical perspective
- Ensure existing platform tools are effectively used in relation to IoT
- Play an active part in the CP R&D IT design Guild
- Sharing learning and challenges
- Agreeing guard rails and technology standards
- Be an active member of agile, self organizing, squads
- Advocating agile practices
- Exemplifying a culture of experimentation and learning
- Work closely with R&D IT Platform Leads, R&D IT Technical Leads, and Automation groups in R&D to ensure continuous improvement of technical platforms
- Proposes portfolio backlog items that will drive increased business value through technology changes

- Proficiency in the English language

- Excellent ability to analyze and listen, as well as a strong disposition to working in teams to accomplish outlined objectives
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, computer engineering, Electrical engineering or equivalent experience
- 2+ years experiences working with IoT platforms/frameworks (DeviceHive, KAA, Azure IoT, Amazon Web Services IoT...)
- Significant development experience, working within an agile environment and using modern engineering practices
- Comprehensive debugging and performance application tuning and scalable solution design
- Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of Java development environment and technologies like Maven/Gradle, Git, JEE, REST, JDBC, SQL, Web Services, MongoDB, PosgreSQL
- Comprehensive knowledge of Javascript development environment, libraries and technologies like NodeJS, jQuery, Angular/Vue/React, XHTML, CSS, PWA
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Spring Boot is a plus
- Experience with CI/CD and automation tools like Jenkins, Gitlab CI/CD, Travis-CI
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes
- Good knowledge of Linux environments
