We are looking for a Software Developer to join our teams .net developers in Gloucester city centre to produce and support the systems that run our business and products.

This is a hands-on role where you will have great freedom to help shape the future of our products and play a vital part in shaping and building the web applications that thousands of our customers depend on every day. We work with a diverse tech stack and encourage our people to embrace opportunities to try something new and exciting.

Hours/work pattern:

• 40/week, Monday to Friday
• Office-based, hybrid working 2-3 days/week (with flexible start/end times to help you balance life and work)

Salary and benefits:

• £48,000 - £55,000 depending on experience and skills
• 27 days annual leave + bank holidays

What experience do you need under your belt?

We don’t expect you to know everything - instead we’re here to support your professional development and help you to identify your strengths and expand your skill set. We're looking for a developer that is passionate about solving problems and keeping up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices, who has a track record of delivering features and who wants to share it with your colleagues and the world.

Essential skills and behaviours:

• Experience with Microsoft .Net development platforms (e.g., .Net Core, .Net Framework, Visual Studio)
• Very strong core coding skills, including OO design, Clean Coding, Testing Techniques
• Proven track record in delivering and supporting applications.
• Outstanding team player, willing to learn from others and openly share knowledge and discoveries with colleagues.
• Use of Docker and/or .Net Aspire for deployment and local development.
• Use of Copilot in day to day development.

You’ll have opportunities to:

• Learn and use other languages/frameworks:
• Javascript/Typescript
• React/Next JS
• Learn about, and use Devops practices.
• Have a meaningful contribution to the future development of products.
