Head of NRE Provisioning (f/m/d)

For our Network Reliability Engineering department, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Head of NRE Provisioning. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for analyzing and improving existing workflows, identifying and implementing efficiency gains, and ensuring that our global network infrastructure is provisioned and deployed in a timely and efficient manner. You will collaborate closely with NRE Automation to develop and enhance the necessary pipelines and automation tooling, aiming to minimize manual steps and optimize efficiency. Additionally, you will work in tandem with NRE Operations to align with operational requirements and ensure a smooth handover process.

Your focus will be on deploying hyperscaling network fabrics to seamlessly connect platforms and products, as well as platform-agnostic network services on top to ensure universal applicability and integration.

Tasks

• Manage and lead an international team of skilled network engineers.
• Create, analyze and optimize your own workflows for capacity planning, deployment, and handover.
• Define, monitor, and improve KPIs to measure team performance, process efficiency, and budget compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, IT operations, and network services, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
• Develop and manage project plans, resource allocation, and timelines to ensure successful project delivery.
• Oversee supplier and supply chain management processes to ensure timely and on-demand delivery of hardware and components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Networking, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in network operations, engineering, or a related field, with a focus on process optimization and project management.
• 2+ years experience in leading high-performing teams, preferably in international environments.
• Good understanding of network protocols, architectures and technologies, including routing, switching, security and cloud networks.
• Profound communication and presentation skills in both written and verbal, ability to interact effectively with engineers, leaders, stakeholders and customers. English is required, German is a plus.
• Experience with process optimization and project management methodologies. PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certifications are a plus.
