Junior Financial Systems Analyst (Netsuite, Coupa, Snaplogic)

Groupon is a marketplace where customers discover new experiences and services everyday and local businesses thrive. To date we have worked with over a million merchant partners worldwide, connecting over 16 million customers with deals across various categories. In a world often dominated by e-commerce giants, we stand out as one of the few platforms uniquely committed to helping local businesses succeed on a performance basis.

Groupon is on a radical journey to transform our business with relentless pursuit of results. Even with thousands of employees spread across multiple continents, we still maintain a culture that inspires innovation, rewards risk-taking and celebrates success. The impact here can be immediate due to our scale and the speed of our transformation. We're a "best of both worlds" kind of company. We're big enough to have the resources and scale, but small enough that a single person has a surprising amount of autonomy and can make a meaningful impact.

At Groupon, we're the ultimate marketplace for experiences, connecting people to exciting opportunities in their cities and beyond. Our real-time mobile commerce platform empowers local businesses, live events, and travel destinations, making every day an adventure.

One of our projects has expanded, and we're in need of a Junior Financial Systems Analyst to join our experienced team. We're looking for someone who will initially handle simpler administrative tasks but later take on their own smaller projects.

The role involves technical aspects, so you should enjoy working with systems, be structured, and have an affinity for numbers. While we're seeking someone less experienced for the team, it's essential that you can independently find solutions and be proactive. We'll have time for you within the training framework and provide necessary support, but Groupon is a large company that has undergone transformation, and not everything runs completely smoothly. You should be comfortable working online - hence, we need you to communicate effectively online and be proactive.

đź“ť Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first line of support for NetSuite application users, addressing their issues and resolving them efficiently.

  • Support the accounting teams during month-end, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.

  • Identify new system requirements, assess their impact on existing systems and business processes, and develop appropriate specifications for product enhancements.

  • Provide training to ERP system users globally.

  • Create ad-hoc reports and queries to assist finance teams and business stakeholders.

  • Keep management informed about issues arising from end-users.

  • Coordinate with multiple departments to resolve global issues.

💪We’re excited about you if you have:

  • 1-2 years of experience in financial systems, accounting, or finance.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent work experience (highly preferred).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences.

  • Experience working with remote employees and contractors in different time zones, with flexibility to work after 17:00 if needed.

  • A positive attitude, strong analytical skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.

  • A proactive mindset with a sense of ownership to see projects through to completion.

  • The ability to quickly learn new processes and system knowledge, with a willingness to grow with Groupon.

  • Experience with Netsuite, Coupa and Snaplogic is an advantage

Nice to Have

  • Experience in building complex reports, dashboards, and scorecards.

  • Experience with ERP tools/applications, particularly NetSuite and/or Oracle.

  • Experience with Javascript and/or SQL

We're looking for people who share our enthusiasm, ambitions, and desire to push things forward. If you're ready to start your career journey with Groupon, don't hesitate to reach out! 🚀
