Overview

The Fixed Income Events Division of FT Live is a fast-paced, tight-knit team of 35, dedicated to producing world-class deal-making events for the structured finance, bonds, and private credit communities. We deliver ten high-profile events, including the famous industry events Global ABS (29 years old, 5000 people in Barcelona), ABS East (31 years old, 6000 people in Miami) and the CEE Forum (31 years old, 2000 people in Vienna) and fast-growing launches like Private Credit Connect: London which launched this year with over 600 attendees.

Financial Times Live (FT Live) is the conferences and events division of the Financial Times newspaper and its group publications. Our mission is to bring our global executive audiences the very latest in knowledge and opinion, and connect them to one another.

From unique experiences such as the FTWeekend Festival to our senior-level business summits such as the award winning Global Boardroom, FT Live has become one of the FT Group’s most successful and fastest-growing divisions, and is at the forefront of the FT’s accelerated development as an essential, interactive information source across numerous platforms.

About the role

We’re seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial self-starter to build research-led, customer-focused financial market events. The ideal candidate will thrive on taking ownership of event portfolios, maintaining commercial vision, and building influential relationships across the industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement innovative, business-critical events aligned with industry needs.
  • Conduct detailed research to understand market drivers and customer priorities.
  • Shape compelling, relevant event agendas that reflect pioneering industry insight.
  • Recruit influential speakers and ensure broad market representation.
  • Lead collaborative planning with sales, marketing, operations, and finance teams.
  • Forge strong relationships across the market, engaging with key collaborators regularly.
  • Support commercial success through proactive partnership building with sales teams.
  • Deliver high-impact on-site execution and foster dynamic event experiences.
  • Represent the FT Live brand across social channels and industry platforms.

Required Skills / Experience

  • Experience in events, project management, research, or a related commercial field.
  • A strong interest in finance and the capital markets, particularly investment and banking.
  • Commercially aware with a keen ability to spot market trends and identify business opportunities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage relationships with senior industry partners.
  • Solid project management, with an ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative great teammate with strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
