About the role:
We are looking for a curious, tech-savvy, and data-driven Innovation Analyst to support finance transformation initiatives.
Reporting to the Finance Innovation Lead, this role will play a critical part in identifying improvement opportunities, developing automation solutions, building dashboards, and providing insights through analytics and storytelling. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in finance, a passion for innovation, and hands-on experience with data tools and automation platforms.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Assist the Innovation Lead in identifying, designing, and implementing automation and process improvement initiatives across the finance function.
- Build and maintain SQL queries, scripts, and logic to support reporting automation and data extraction.
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools to support decision-making.
- Support end-to-end project activities including documentation, testing, stakeholder updates, and post-implementation reviews.
- Perform financial and operational data analysis to uncover trends, inefficiencies, and areas of opportunity.
- Contribute to building strong business cases with clear problem statements, data insights, and ROI projections.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, IT, and Operations to ensure smooth execution of innovation projects.
- Help promote a continuous improvement mindset by contributing ideas and sharing best practices.
Experience/skills you need to be successful in this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in a finance, data, or process improvement role.
- Proficiency in SQL or other automation tools (e.g., Alteryx, Python, VBA, Power Automate).
- Hands-on experience with data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Familiarity with finance processes such as P2P-AP, P2P Ops, R2R, Credit Management, OTC - Billing and OTC - Subscription.
- Strong communication skills and ability to present data in a clear, compelling manner.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project support skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in working with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle - Fusion).
- Knowledge of financial controls, compliance, and business partnering.
- Familiarity with AI, machine learning, or predictive analytics in a finance context.
