Project Description

The project involves the architecture and development of a new backend microservices system for a customer portal, built from scratch on Microsoft Azure. The architect will define a scalable and robust microservices strategy and guide the development team through its implementation. This is a greenfield initiative, with the architect playing a key role in forming and mentoring the new project team, including developers, QA, PM, and BA.

What You'll Do

  • Design and document a full microservices architecture on Azure using C# and .NET
  • Define key architectural components including:
     – Caching strategies
     – Load balancing
     – API Gateway integration
     – Service orchestration
     – Data storage solutions
     – Business domain decomposition
     – Headless content delivery
     – AI-enhanced development practices (e.g., Cursor)
  • Provide hands-on development support as needed
  • Collaborate closely with VP of Engineering and stakeholders
  • Hire and lead the development team
  • Train and mentor developers on microservices architecture and implementation
  • Ensure code quality, system scalability, and best engineering practices

Job Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional experience in software architecture and development
  • Proven experience designing and implementing microservices-based systems on Azure
  • Deep hands-on experience with C# and .NET stack
  • Expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration
  • Strong knowledge of API Gateway integration and service orchestration
  • Ability to lead teams and conduct technical training
  • Experience with modern AI-assisted development tools is a plus
  • English level: B2 or higher
