Project Description

The project focuses on maintaining and enhancing a complex ecosystem of food and feed formulation applications built using modern big data technologies. The environment includes multiple applications and services running in Azure, utilizing distributed computing and data warehousing tools. The team works across several workstreams, actively developing, integrating, and improving platforms used by internal stakeholders worldwide.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate in a highly interactive, team-oriented environment
  • Understand existing products, services, and feature architecture
  • Improve and maintain the software platform using modern tools and frameworks
  • Design and optimize scalable solutions in cloud ecosystems (AWS)
  • Support internal stakeholders across multiple apps and project streams
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams across regions
  • Participate in architectural discussions to determine optimal toolsets
  • Contribute to continuous delivery practices through automation and DevOps integration

Job Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in software engineering or data engineering
  • Hands-on experience with Java, Scala, or Python
  • Solid knowledge of big data frameworks such as Spark and Hadoop
  • Experience with AWS services (e.g., S3, Lambda, Step Functions)
  • Proficiency with PostgreSQL and Amazon Redshift
  • Familiarity with Apache Airflow and Jenkins for orchestration and CI/CD
  • Strong communication skills - ability to work with distributed teams across Europe and the Americas
  • Ability to assess business needs and suggest appropriate technical solutions
  • English proficiency: B2 level or higher (spoken and written)
