Role Summary:

We are seeking a Infrastructure Champion with strong cross-domain expertise in datacenter systems, cloud environments (AWS), networking, virtualization, and container orchestration. This role will be instrumental in designing, deploying, and supporting infrastructure platforms that host critical telecom and digital services. The ideal candidate has deep operational experience across bare metal, virtual machines, Kubernetes clusters (optional), IP networking, and firewall/security configurations (optional), with a strong focus on availability, performance, and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain infrastructure platforms across datacenter (on-prem) and cloud environments (private/public/hybrid).
• Own and manage networking infrastructure including IP addressing, routing (BGP/OSPF), L2/L3 switching.
• Implement and manage virtualized environments (e.g., VMware, KVM, Proxmox) as well as containerized platforms (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Lead the provisioning and lifecycle management of compute, storage, and network resources in landing zones and production clusters.
• Design and maintain multi-tenant and zone-isolated environments (optional), ensuring strict security and resource boundaries.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, Helm, etc. (optional)
• Collaborate with platform and product engineering teams to define infrastructure patterns for deploying telecom and digital stacks (e.g., BSS, CRM, APIs). (optional)
• Monitor and tune systems for performance, availability, and scalability, using observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.
• Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory frameworks, particularly around firewalls, logging, and traffic control. (optional)
• Participate in root cause analysis, incident management, and continuous improvement of infrastructure operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering, including both datacenter and cloud environments.
• Strong experience with:
• Virtualization technologies: VMware, KVM, Hyper-V
• Cloud platforms: AWS
• Networking fundamentals: Routing, switching, VLANs, VRFs, BGP, OSPF
• Experience supporting mission-critical or carrier-grade workloads (telecom or fintech background is a plus).
• Solid knowledge of Linux systems administration, security hardening, and system tuning.

Preferred Certifications (Nice to Have):

• CKA / CKAD (Certified Kubernetes Administrator/Developer)
• CCNP / CCIE, or equivalent
• VMware VCP, RHCE, or cloud platform certifications (AWS/GCP/Azure)
