Internal Communications Executive

Solihull

OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a dynamic, hands on individual where you'll create high‑quality, on‑brand content and play a key part in delivering our Internal Communications and People Change agenda. You’ll bring our strategy, culture, and transformation to life across teams, channels, and geographies, crafting clear, engaging communications ensuring our people receive consistent, aligned messages throughout our internal ecosystem.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Content Creation & Delivery 

  • Create day to day internal comms content including updates, intranet posts, emails, video briefs, talking points, and simple presentations. 
  • Produce simple on-brand assets (slides, visuals, infographics) following brand guidelines provided by the Brand team.
  • Adapt content for different audiences and geographies (HQ, stores, UK, US, NL) to ensure clarity, accessibility and cultural relevance. 
  • Adapt internal comms content to support external-facing Employer Branding opportunities (Job ads, Banner ads, channel content refresh, sourcing campaigns) 

Channel Management 

  • Manage day-to-day publishing and scheduling across internal channels to ensure timely, consistent communication, day to day publishing and scheduling across internal channels to ensure timely, consistent communication. 
  • Maintain and update intranet pages to keep information accurate, easy to navigate, and aligned to Internal Communications structure, governance and naming conventions. 
  • Maintain and update Talent Acquisition channel content (LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Indeed).
  • Own versioning to support searchability and governance. 

Cross Functional Collaboration 

  • Coordinate with Brand and Exec Content to ensure visual and tone consistency across materials. 
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather inputs, align timelines and support the delivery of people-led and change-related communications.led and change related communications. 
  • Escalate senior level or executive tone content to Internal Communications Manager and Exec Content as required.  

Governance & Standards 

  • Ensure all content meets Gymshark’s tone of voice, accessibility expectations, brand guidelines and Internal Communications governance. 
  • Follow processes, templates, approval flows and quality checks. 

Insights & Continuous Improvement 

  • Track channel engagement, monitor feedback and help shape recommendations to improve clarity, reach and effectiveness of content. 
  • Proactively identify gaps, risks, or opportunities to improve the employee experience through better communication. 

 WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Experience:

  • Internal communications, content, or employee engagement roles. 
  • Creating content for different audiences, including retail teams and international markets. 
  • Building and/or maintaining intranet content or pages. 
  • Working with stakeholders and translating complex inputs into ready to use content. 
  • Supporting change communications and employee experience initiatives. 
  • Enabling leaders with toolkits, briefs and structured guidance. 
  • Multi geo or multichannel environments (HQ, stores, international). 

 Skills & Capabilities:

  • Strong writing and editing skills, able to simplify complex information into clear, human language. 
  • Good judgement on tone, format and audience. 
  • Confident working across multiple content types, channels and markets. 
  • Highly organised, reliable and comfortable managing multiple concurrent pieces of content. 
  • Proactive, collaborative, and delivery focused with strong attention to detail. 
  • Strong storyteller able to translate strategy, culture, values and change into meaningful, accessible content. 
  • Understands multichannel ecosystem thinking and how content needs to flex across leaders, teams and geographies. 
  • Comfortable working with governance, templates, naming conventions and structured processes. 
  • Able to use engagement insights to improve content and influence decision making. 

 Tools & Technical Skills:

  • Content creation and management using Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, Figma, Canva and AI tools. 
  • Familiarity with accessibility principles and how they apply to digital content. 

You must be able to attend GSIQ (Solihull) offices a minimum of 3-4 days per week.
