People Partner - 6 month FTC

This People Partner role supports the delivery of the People strategy across the business, working closely with senior level stakeholders, building trusted partnerships.

Using people data to inform decisions, you will coach managers, support capability development, manage performance and calibration cycles and ensure policies, job descriptions and workforce plans are clear and aligned to business priorities.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Support implementation of the People strategy and functional people plans in line with business priorities​
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships with Chief and Directors.
  • Understand people data and contribute to analysis and insights into functional people needs and opportunities​
  • Support the management of performance and calibration processes across the function, geographies or channel​
  • Support talent mapping and identification of high-potential and high-performance talent across functions, geographies and/or channel​
  • Identify functional People Manager capability gaps and actively manage solutions​
  • Manage ER caseload within the function, geography or channel​
  • Coach People Managers on performance and development opportunities for them and their team​
  • Support the implementation of learning & development solutions for high potential/high-performance talent​
  • Understand monthly/quarterly headcount reports and activity vs. budget​
  • Ensure people policies are clearly written, communicated and up to date with current employment legislation ​
  • Understand and support critical hires required for business priorities​
  • Ensure job descriptions are clearly written and aligned to job grading criteria​
  • Support internal mobility and resourcing decisions that support business priorities​
  • Understand and support long-term workforce planning and organisation design​
  • Support strategic people change initiatives ​
  • Support the execution of any functional restructure processes​
  • Contribute to the execution of functional pay review process with TR (market rate changes, promotions, step ups and bonus distribution etc) ​
  • Contribute to the promotion proposal and decision process; calibrating proposals across functions​
  • Ad-hoc involvement of people change initiatives as required

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Essential Criteria:

  • Full CIPD qualified 
  • Previous business partnering experience within a generalist or specialist role.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Knowledge and awareness of global employment legislation and practices
  • Up to date with legislation, external trends and best practice
  • Experience in influencing senior management
  • Great verbal and written communication for a wide range of audiences
  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Self-motivated, proactive, detail, conscious, results-oriented, able to stay calm under pressure and inspiring the same in others
  • Able to work autonomously, in a risk-taking, fast paced environment
  • Naturally curious, self-driven with a passion for understanding stakeholders and meeting their needs
  • Agile to change and pragmatic
  • Commercial awareness and a creative problem solver with the ability to think laterally and understand the cost and value drivers within a competitive business environment
  • High degree of professional ethics, integrity and gravitas
  • Excellent judgement and analytical skills
