Content Data Management Associate

Job Overview:

The Content Data Management Associate role is crucial in Jumia's product catalog management by overseeing end-to-end SKU, Brand, and Attribute creation. Additionally, the role manages the core quality control configurations that dictate Jumia's catalog experience and ensures adherence to regulatory and industry standards. In relation to the content roadmap, you will provide support in stabilizing our catalog management platforms, enriching attributes, improving attribute taxonomy and rules, and aligning configurations, and UCR categories between the seller center and vendor center. The goal is to reduce the global product broadcast fail rate of 12% attributed to category disparities between configurations.

What you will be doing

The Data Management Associate will be responsible for:

Category Management

  • Activation, deactivation, and optimization (including renaming, duplicate cleanup, and alias renaming)
  • Category visibility on Vendor Seller Centre and bulk product recategorization

Product & Brand Management

  • Product and brand creation management, execution, and communication with sellers
  • Follow up with the recent migration of products across platforms (Seller Center ↔ BOB ↔ Vendor Center)
  • Follow up and escalate oversight of all local migration actions

Seller-Level Configurations

  • Management of brand authorizations/restrictions, keyword blacklists/whitelists, and seller QC configurations

Attribute & Filter Management

  • Attribute cleanup, bulk updates, visibility, and optimization across all categories
  • Filter creation, visibility, and optimization on both backend and frontend platforms

Quality Control Configuration

  • Follow up with Vendor Centre full QC configuration, setting minimum/maximum content score values across categories
  • Managing the impact of Seller Centre migration configuration in Nigeria

Warranty & Tag Management

  • Bulk updates for warranty details (duration, coverage, and address) for Official Store and Jumia Express SKUs
  • Creation, testing, and prioritization of product tags and badges for weekly and campaign activities

Reporting & Sync Management

  • Preparing daily and weekly reports across all tasks, projects, and routines for internal visibility
  • Resolving sync issues and managing product visibility
  • End-to-end management of Official Store Catalogs

 

What we are looking for 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Technology Management, Statistics or related field; advanced degree or certification in digital marketing or content management is a plus.
  • 2-3 years of experience in content management, digital marketing, or related field, with a track record of success in developing and executing content strategies that drive engagement and conversion.
  • Experience in Data Management/ Data Analysis is an added advantage.
  • Basic Knowledge of Web Programming Languages (HTML, CSS, PHP) & Web Technology 
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team of content creators and coordinators.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), digital marketing tools and platforms, and analytics tools to track and measure content performance.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to create compelling content that resonates with target audience personas.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to generate ideas, solve problems, and overcome challenges creatively.
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and strong work ethic.
