VRM Manager (Vendor Relationships Manager) - Jumia (Full Time)

The VRM Manager is responsible for optimizing vendor performance and driving commercial results across two key segments: newly onboarded sellers (first 30 days) and long-tail marketplace sellers (non-KAM managed accounts). This role leads a team of four, ensuring effective onboarding, activation, assortment optimization, pricing, and participation in promotional campaigns to maximize seller contribution to Jumia’s marketplace.

What you will be doing

  • Lead, coach, and set KPIs for a team of four, divided into New Seller Onboarding and Long-Tail Management sub-teams.
  • Oversee onboarding, training, and activation of new sellers, ensuring smooth transition to active status through first-order conversion, content optimization, and promotional participation.
  • Manage long-tail marketplace sellers by driving replenishment, expanding assortment, optimizing pricing, ensuring Jumia Express stock, and increasing GMV contribution.
  • Track key performance indicators (activation, GMV, replenishment, assortment growth, deal participation), analyze gaps, implement improvements, and report regularly to management.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree (Bac +3) in Business, Marketing, Management, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in account/vendor management or marketplace operations, with prior team management required; e-commerce experience is a strong advantage.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and commercial skills; proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in Arabic and French; English is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership, data-driven mindset, and ability to manage multiple seller segments under pressure.
