Head of Seller Management - Full Time

  • What you will be doing:


    • Reaching your targets on:
      • GMV of the Long-tail sellers
      • # Engaged sellers
      • % of active sellers attending open CP every month
      • Churn last 30 D without IS (excluding new sellers)
      • % of sellers with a score above 75%
    • Managing 3 departments:
      • Vendors University: ensure a good training for vendors, using different platforms and maintain a best in class Vendorhub, to help sellers to grow by themselves. 
      • Acquisition & Incubation: responsible for acquiring and managing for the 1st month our seller base. Find the right balance between quality and quantity of leads, and make sure your seller can grow with the least individual support. 
      • Engagement: help our sellers grow their business on the platform via the internal tools (Jumia Express, Open CP, Sponsored Products). Those tools should also be used for avoiding and reducing the churn of the active sellers. This department is key to build and scale a profitable self-managed sellers' ecosystem within Jumia.
    • Maintaining a good allocation of our sellers and ensuring that targets and bonus are properly calculated and paid on time.
    • Contributing to the optimization of all our systems and helping on the good execution of our tech road map. This implies:
      • Seller Center (stock, price & content management platform for our sellers)
      • Vendor Center - migration and usage
      • Powerbi weekly business review 
    • Leading all the vendors animation routine 
      • Communication plan (all channels) - including Appcues
      • Organization of offline events
      • Organization of vendor challenges, etc..
