Job Overview
The Last Mile Manager, PUS will be responsible for leading and managing pickup and sorting operations across multiple pickup points and sorting hubs to ensure operational excellence, accuracy, and efficiency. This role involves overseeing teams of operators and senior operators, optimizing processes, and driving performance improvements while maintaining compliance with safety standards and company policies across the last mile delivery network.
What you will be doing:

Lead and manage the overall pickup and sorting operations across multiple pickup points and sorting hubs within the last mile delivery network.

Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize pickup and sorting operations, improve efficiency, and meet performance targets across all locations.

Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance management of pickup and sorting operators and senior operators, ensuring team capability and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.

Design and optimize pickup schedules, routes, and vehicle assignments across the network to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize delays.

Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for pickup and sorting operations, including accuracy rates, processing times, package volumes, and customer satisfaction metrics.

Ensure accurate and timely sorting of packages at all designated sorting hubs, implementing appropriate sorting methods, equipment, and quality control measures to maintain order and prevent errors.

Manage inventory levels and package volumes across all pickup points and sorting hubs, coordinating with logistics, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure adequate supplies and resources.

Resolve escalated operational issues and customer concerns related to pickup and sorting processes, implementing corrective actions and preventive measures.

Drive collaboration and communication across internal stakeholders, including Operations, Customer Service, Logistics, and Warehouse teams, to ensure seamless coordination across the last mile delivery network.

Analyze operational data and prepare regular reports on pickup and sorting activities, including package counts, delivery volumes, inventory levels, and performance metrics for senior management.

Conduct regular inspections, audits, and quality checks of pickup points and sorting hubs to ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and safety guidelines.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize pickup and sorting processes, reduce errors, enhance productivity, and implement best practices across the network.

Manage operational budgets for pickup and sorting activities, controlling costs while maintaining service quality and operational standards.

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and legal requirements related to pickup and sorting operations.
What we are looking for:

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications in logistics or operations management is a plus.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in last mile delivery operations, logistics, or warehouse management, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.

Proven track record of managing pickup and sorting operations, including deep understanding of sorting equipment, sorting methods, inventory management systems, and last mile logistics.

Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in building, developing, and motivating high-performing teams.

Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex operational challenges, make data-driven decisions, and implement effective solutions.

Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members, senior management, customers, and external stakeholders.

Proficiency in using technology tools, systems, and software for tracking, monitoring, analyzing, and reporting pickup and sorting activities, including experience with logistics management systems and data analytics tools.

Strong knowledge of safety regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices in pickup and sorting operations.

Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement, implement process optimization initiatives, and deliver measurable results.

Financial acumen with experience in budget management and cost control.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by operational needs.
