Sorting Hub Team Lead (Full time)

What you will be doing:

• Oversee daily operations within the sorting hub, ensuring efficient sorting, handling, and processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Coordinate with sorting hub staff to assign tasks, prioritize workload, and optimize workflow to meet operational targets and deadlines.
• Train, mentor, and supervise sorting hub operators to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
• Monitor sorting equipment and machinery, identifying maintenance needs and coordinating repairs or maintenance activities as required.
• Conduct regular quality checks and inspections of sorted items to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Resolve operational issues and address customer inquiries or concerns related to sorting and handling processes in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain accurate records of sorting activities, including shipment volumes, processing times, and inventory levels, using appropriate documentation and tracking systems.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as Logistics, Warehouse, and Customer Service, to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments and facilitate smooth handover processes.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize sorting processes, reduce errors, and enhance overall efficiency and productivity.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork among sorting hub staff, emphasizing adherence to safety guidelines and best practices.
