
Team Leader
Why this role matters
Lead a cross-functional Data & Analytics team embedded within a specific business domain, focused on delivering best-in-class insights, data platforms, and BI/ML/DS solutions to support product and business decision-making.
Own and develop the data & analytics strategy for the domain, ensuring delivery across the full data value chain — from data engineering and data modeling to advanced analytics and causal inference— aligned with business goals and company-wide standards.
Act as a key partner to divisional stakeholders, deeply understanding product, operational processes, and domain-specific metrics, and translating them into scalable data solutions
What you'll actually do
- Lead a cross-functional data and analytics team
- Monitor team performance and evaluate progress against goals and KPIs
- Provide continuous feedback, coaching, and development plans
- Facilitate strong collaboration, transparency, and ownership within the team
- Cascade division and company strategy, ensuring visibility of insights and impact
- Demonstrate technical leadership across analytics, data engineering, and research
- Own and drive the Data & Analytics roadmap for the division
- Translate domain-specific problems into data initiatives
- Define KPIs, metrics frameworks, and data definitions for the division
- Align divisional data initiatives with central data governance and architecture
- Lead analytics initiatives, including data collection, analysis, causal inference, reporting, and visualization
- Ensure high-quality insights that drive product, operational, and commercial decisions
- Promote experimentation culture (A/B testing, incrementality)
- Maintain quality control on data queries, dashboards, and insights
- Oversee development of predictive and prescriptive models (e.g. churn, LTV, trading behaviour)
- Ensure proper model lifecycle: experimentation → validation → production → monitoring. Introduce new methodologies and improve existing models
- Drive adoption of casual inference analysis with measurable business impact
- Own team backlog, prioritization, and delivery aligned with business needs
- Drive execution of data initiatives and ensure timely delivery and proper quality control
- Continuously improve processes, technological stack , and operational efficiency
- Ensure alignment between analytics, research, and data engineering workflows
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across datasets
- Define and monitor data SLAs and quality metrics
- Ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements
- Lead adoption of data management practices within the division
Who we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field
- 5–10+ years of experience in Data Analytics / Data Science / Data Engineering
- 2+ years of experience in a leadership or team lead role
- Experience in fintech / trading / payments / high-load product environments is a strong advantage
- Solid understanding of data engineering concepts (ETL/ELT, pipelines, data modeling)
- Advanced SQL and Python skills
- Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.)
- Experience with ML lifecycle and productionization
- Understanding of experimentation frameworks and statistical analysis
- Understanding of domain-specific data (CR or support)
- AI, LLM and agents power user
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex topics clearly
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate in a fast-paced environment
- Divisional leadership (Product, Engineering, Business stakeholders)
