About the Role
Groupon is seeking a Procurement Category Manager to strengthen procurement governance, vendor efficiency, and sourcing execution. The position expands procurement capacity in an agile, high-performing team operating in a dynamic, AI-driven environment that values speed, autonomy, and precision.
You’ll partner closely with Finance, IT, and business leaders to deliver efficient, compliant, and value-focused sourcing outcomes supporting Groupon’s automation and process optimization goals.
Location: hybrid work model from Prague
Key Responsibilities
- Manage sourcing and purchasing operations across selected indirect spend categories, driving compliance and cost optimization.
- Oversee vendor contracts, lead negotiations, and monitor supplier performance.
- Run sourcing events (RFx), evaluate bids, and finalize terms with counsel support.
- Improve procurement workflows and documentation using tools like Asana and ERP systems.
- Identify cost savings and implement process improvements through AI-enhanced analysis.
- Ensure strong stakeholder communication and alignment between business and procurement.
Requirements
- Degree in business, economics, or supply chain management.
- At least 5 years of procurement experience within large corporate environments.
- Commercial, analytical, and negotiation expertise.
- Organized and autonomous with strong documentation and communication skills.
- Fluent in English
Nice to Have
- ICT, consulting, or digital service sourcing experience.
- Procurement certification (CIPS or equivalent).
- Familiarity with AI-based procurement analytics.
- Proficiency in Asana or similar tools
