About your key responsibilities and impact:
- Designing and implementing comprehensive test strategies and plans to ensure high-quality software delivery;
- Developing, reviewing, and maintaining detailed test cases and test scripts for various testing phases, including functional, regression, and performance testing;
- Creating and maintaining automated/manual test scenarios to improve testing efficiency and coverage;
- Reviewing test code and/or test scenarios written by other team members to ensure quality and adherence to best practices;
- Developing test automation frameworks;
- Identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects using defect management tools, ensuring timely resolution and re-testing;
- Working closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide input on software quality;
- Mentoring and providing guidance to junior QA engineers, fostering their professional growth and development;
- Defining and tracking key quality metrics to measure the effectiveness of the QA process and identify areas for improvement;
- Conducting performance and load testing to ensure the software meets performance requirements under varying conditions;
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the QA process, tools, and methodologies;
- Maintaining comprehensive documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results for future reference and audits;
- Identifying potential risks in the software development process and providing recommendations to mitigate them;
- Communicating test results, issues, and risks to stakeholders effectively, ensuring transparency and alignment on quality goals;
- Working with monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, including the ability to set necessary metrics).
Essential professional experience:
- Knowledge of microservice vs. monolith architectures and event-driven design;
- Understanding of resilience patterns and CAP theorem;
- Proficiency in software design principles, UML diagrams, and requirements analysis;
- Expertise in SQL, database normalization, and indexing strategies;
- Familiarity with relational vs. non-relational databases and ACID properties;
- Understanding of basic networking protocols, secure communication, and cryptographic concepts;
- Knowledge of IAM principles, firewalls, VPNs, and security best practices;
- Proficiency with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines;
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and scalable cloud architectures;
- Knowledge of FinOps methodology and cloud networking concepts like VPCs and CDNs;
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies;
- Proficiency in testing methods, automation tools, and CI/CD pipelines;
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities;
- Creativity, adaptability, and conflict resolution skills;
- Ability to clearly articulate technical details to diverse audiences;
- Proficiency in creating technical documentation and testing insights;
- Skilled in designing and executing manual and mobile testing strategies;
- Proficiency with testing tools and frameworks to optimize QA processes;
- Experience leading test strategies, data management, and comprehensive reporting;
- Strong client management and SLA negotiation skills.
