The role / Position overview
The US B2C & Luxury Account Planner will report to the US Senior Luxury Account Director, Fashion & Jewelry and will be part of the US B2C Advertising team overseen by the Head of US Revenue, Luxury & B2C.
The AP will be responsible for providing comprehensive sales planning and support for key advertising clients and media agencies across the US. Client sectors include, but are not limited to, fashion, jewellery, spirits, design, arts, travel, beauty and property.
The US Luxury & B2C team generates $7.2+ million in annual revenue and provides advertising solutions across the FT portfolio including digital, print, content, events and audio tactics.
Key responsibilities
- Help contribute to Luxury and Property ad revenue growth in the US
- Master the FT’s digital, print, audio and events product portfolio
- Thoroughly understand and be able to articulate the FT’s editorial mission and readership profile.
- Support a team of Account Directors across Fashion & Jewelry, Travel & Arts, Design & Spirits and Property sectors
- Assist with account management throughout the sales process - including pre-sale, live campaign and post-campaign support, as well as helping with RFP submissions, including decks and media plans.
- Build sector-specific presentations to highlight the FT’s narrative and value proposition
- Prospect potential clients and sectors through industry and driven research
- Manage client (e)mailings, event invites and other communications.
- Troubleshoot creative, performance and billing issues as they arise.
- Work closely with the digital ad operations team on campaign servicing, insights and reporting.
- Collaborate with the content and project management teams on deliverables, timelines and ideation.
- Liaise with the research team to identify key data that will inform client decisions and bolster the FT’s sales narratives.
Required skills / experience
- Strong written and verbal skills to effectively communicate both internally and externally.
- Consistent professionalism while in the office and while working from home.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise projects effectively
- Very organised and meticulous.
- Display curiosity, passion and resourcefulness.
- Passion for media and the luxury industry.
- Interest to work in a fast-paced team environment with international offices.
- Fluency in Google Suites, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and fluency in Salesforce is a plus.
- A four-year college degree with demonstrated work ethic and successful collaboration.
- 1 to 2 years of business experience, with a media agency, publisher or luxury consumer brand is preferred.

Further information
A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $65,000–$67,000 with a comprehensive commission package. To ensure pay fairness, the successful candidate will be offered a salary within the estimated salary range based on a number of considerations including but not limited to: skills; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate is for our NYC office and has not been adjusted for other locations.
