About the role:

 

The Junior Associate Programme offers an exciting opportunity to develop core consulting skills while working on meaningful projects within the Financial Times' consulting arm, FT Strategies. This six-month training programme is crafted to prepare successful candidates for progression to the Associate Consultant role.

You’ll have the opportunity to work with some of the biggest names in the subscription economy, utilizing your engineering, mathematics, or AI expertise to develop innovative solutions for sophisticated business challenges.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Project Work: Contribute to a wide range of consulting projects, addressing sophisticated business challenges using data-driven and technical approaches. Leverage your knowledge in engineering, mathematics, or AI to build innovative solutions for our clients.
  • Consulting Skills Development: Participate in an intensive training period to build consulting skills, focusing on problem-solving, communication, and business analysis.
  • Mentorship and Learning: Work closely with expert consultants as part of a structured development programme. Receive mentorship and guidance to improve both your technical expertise and consulting abilities.
  • Client Collaboration: Engage directly with clients across the UK, Europe, and APAC, helping them tackle real-world business issues through the application of technical and strategic solutions.
  • Cross-Regional Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues and clients across multiple regions, adapting to different time zones to foster a global perspective and contribute to international projects.
  • Progression to Associate Consultant: Optimally complete the Junior Associate Programme with the goal of transitioning to the Associate Consultant role after six months.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A background in engineering, mathematics, or Artificial Intelligence (AI) is highly desirable.
  • Initiative, intuition, and potential are key qualities we seek—specific academic qualifications are not required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with global teams.
  • A passion for developing innovative solutions to sophisticated business challenges.
  • Willingness to work within UK time zones to engage with our London-based teams and clients.
