Our Data Ingestion team

Specifically, the Data Ingestion team is responsible for delivering and enhancing owned social data from a multitude of platforms, delivering it verbatim to customer-facing applications.

Our mission is to create an ingestion system that is robust, yet flexible enough to serve our downstream applications in quality with their ever-changing needs for our customers in a timely manner.

In this role as an engineer in the Data Ingestion team, you will:

• Enhance and maintain the backend stack of data ingestion
• Collaborate with members of other product groups, fostering a culture of partnership and innovation. You’ll work as an engineer delivering back-end solutions of data ingestion from social platforms.
• Deliver well-tested and scalable solutions that meet technical and product needs
• Share and discuss best practices proactively with your peers.
• Support product teams, such as handling changes in Social APIs

• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Framework
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and relational database principles
• Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar event-driven messaging technologies
• Familiarity with modern DevOps tools: Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of Akka (Pekko) is an advantage, but not a requirement
