Our Admin team

We are a cross-functional agile team that is utterly committed toward doing our best, pushing and helping each other to learn and improve, all with the outcome of growing as individuals and as a team and being proud of the difference we are making for our users.

Specifically, the Admin team is responsible for all external administrator user facing functionality across our suite. Our aim is to serve our administrator users, and provide them with the best user experience within the Administration section of the suite. As part of this role you will work closely with the team but also other members within the Governance tribe.

You’re a great fit if

… you are a product-oriented individual that likes working in a friendly environment where people care about each other and what they do.

Beyond that, we recognize that you may need further development in some areas, and we encourage you to apply even if your profile does not meet all the requirements for the role: we encourage and support growth and development for everyone. That said, prior experience in any of the following areas will be beneficial:

  • Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Framework
  • Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and relational database principles
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar event-driven messaging technologies
  • Familiarity with modern DevOps tools: Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes

What you’ll do

  • Design and Implement Features: Build and maintain APIs and features that power the administration experience of the Brandwatch suite. You’ll be directly involved in shaping solutions that are robust, scalable, and user-friendly.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely within the team, as well as other teams in the Governance group and beyond, to deliver impactful solutions. Your input will help inform decisions and ensure alignment across teams.
  • Own Your Code: Produce clean, efficient, and well-documented code while adhering to high standards. You’ll have the freedom to question existing practices, propose better solutions, and influence technical direction.
  • Solve Problems Together: Participate in code reviews and discussions, where your voice and opinions matter. Help shape the team’s approach to problem-solving, performance, and maintainability.
  • Be Product-Minded: Actively contribute to the evolution of the administration experience by identifying improvements, engaging in story mapping sessions, refinements, discoveries, and collaborating with designers and product managers. You’ll help balance technical constraints with business needs and spot opportunities for impactful changes.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Investigate, diagnose, and resolve issues reported by customer support, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
  • Shape the Future of the Team: Provide guidance and mentorship to less-experienced team members, sharing your knowledge and helping others grow. You’ll also contribute to the team’s growth by being part of technical decisions and discussions—there’s no top-down decision-making here.

Our Benefits

  • Friendly and welcoming environment focused on people, learning & development
  • 25 vacation days and extra vacation days after age and after children
  • Cafeteria benefit via SZEP card
  • Medicover private health insurance for employees and their family members
  • 37.5 hour work week - or less!
  • 10% of your time to work on anything you like, reading groups, tech talks
  • Flexible working and working from home
  • An extensive people development program, including access to Udemy

Please note that this position is only available to candidates who are currently residing in Hungary. Unfortunately, we are unable to consider applicants outside of the country.
