The role

The Global People Operations Specialist role sits within the Global People Services team. This team is made up of; Operations, Payroll and Employee Relations. The Global People Operations team are responsible for laying the foundation of highly functional and forward thinking colleague lifecycle processes, ensuring that we are accurate and compliant in the way we perform people administration and process change, provide frontline transactional HR and benefit advice; effectively triage and distribute queries, enforcement and governance of HR policy and the management of global mobility activities.


Responsibilities

  • We operate under a transactional service desk model where global queries will all be sent to Peopledesk. In this role you will be expected to be the first point of contact for Peopledesk queries - with focus on; effective communication, being solution-oriented, responsive and providing outstanding customer service
  • Manage and administer employee lifecycle processes including; ensuring that the onboarding, change and exit process administration across all platforms are completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Work in partnership with the Leadership & Organisational Effectiveness team by delivering and supporting colleague orientation for new joiners
  • Create colleague correspondence to include but not limited to; contracts, offers, promotion, salary change and employment verification letters as needed
  • Work in partnership with the people business partnering team by providing administrative and processing support for visa sponsorship and global mobility processes
  • Perform administrative duties and ensure data accuracy in HiBob and any other relevant people systems. Serve as the primary conduit of information between Economist colleague data and the global people business partners
  • Partner with the People Technology, Data and Insights team on the preparation of colleague data reports, compliance reporting and provide basic insights on colleague data
  • Provide administrative support on the communication of pay related changes throughout our payroll cycles
  • Administer colleague benefit plans and support the Total Rewards team with other ad hoc tasks
  • Resolve discrepancies with benefit providers, payroll and the company in a timely manner in partnership with the Total Rewards team
  • Provide guidance on benefits or general HR matters and have good judgement on when to escalate
  • Manage all leaves of absence in accordance to Group’s policies including but not limited to; Maternity, Paternity, Long Term Sickness
  • Contribute to and assist with local and global people projects, as required take lead on lower level deliverables
  • Take ownership of your tasks and introduce new ideas to evolve your processes and procedures. Be an ambassador of our continuous improvement focussed culture

Who you are

  • Experience working in a People/Human Resources team providing administrative support to staff at all levels of the company. Ideally within a global role and/or in a shared services environment
  • Working knowledge of HR compliance, concepts, practices and procedures
  • Prior experience working with HR technologies and a general understanding of their purpose and how they fit within a wider technological architecture. Experience of HiBob, Bamboo and Google Suite desirable
  • An ability to problem solve and deal with a variety of colleague questions and needs
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills and presentation abilities with the ability to effectively communicate with individuals both internal and external to the organisation
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task with competing priorities
  • Excellent attention to detail, good judgement, customer focus, proactive, enthusiastic and professional attitude
