Senior Quality Engineer (m/f/d)
About the Job
Are you passionate about improving software quality and delivering reliable, high-performance products? Do you love digging into details and making sure everything works just right? If so, you could the Quality engineer we need.
You'll be at the heart of quality assurance for the Miles Enterprise Suite – an all-in-one ERP software solution covering front, mid, and back-office operations. You’ll be responsible for validating that the newly developed product features match quality standards.
This means you will be responsible for:
Test Management and Planning
- Define and implement a suitable test management approach for the team.
- Collaborate with team members during refinements to define acceptance criteria and test scenarios.
- Contribute to the automated test management system.
Pre-Release Validation: Mastery of shift-left testing in CI/CD pipelines, including security scans and performance baselining.
Quality Assurance in SDLC
- Actively participate in the analysis process to ensure testability of requirements.
- Execute manual and automated tests across all stages of the SDLC.
- Conduct API testing using tools like Postman and Swagger.
- Oversee quality control gates and ensure readiness for release.
Test Automation
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous feedback.
Monitoring and Reporting
- Analyze test results, document findings, and report issues to stakeholders.
- Identify root causes of defects and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain test documentation, including plans, cases, and results.
Your skills and interest
An analytical mindset is key; you should know where to look for specific issues and have a detail-oriented approach to ensure thorough documentation for your colleagues.
We’d love to see the following aspects as well:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance of software solutions
- Proficiency in structured testing, test techniques, and test methodologies
- Experience with at least 2 types of testing (integration, smoke, regression, usability, security)
- Experience with quality assurance of modern web applications and understanding of REST APIs and web-services.
- Understanding of PyTest and Playwright.
- Knowledge of load testing using tools like Jmeter or similar.
- Fluency in English
- Experience with Cypress, Selenium, GitHub workflows, OpenTelemetry or Gherkin syntax is a plus.
