As a Project Support Officer within our Project Management Office (PMO), you play a key role in driving project success across the organization by supporting the broader project portfolio.
This role is focused on improving project delivery through internal coordination, methodology support and portfolio oversight. You empower project managers, monitor portfolio health, streamline processes and ensure consistency across projects.
Our PMO focuses on four main pillars:
- Support PM Onboarding: helping new Project Managers ramp up quickly through training, coaching and onboarding into SOFICO methodologies, processes and tools.
- Project Portfolio Health: monitoring project progress, ensuring alignment and supporting PMs with action points, best practices and recommendations, as well as providing summarized portfolio reporting to management.
- Support Sales Process: ensuring projects are properly prepared for revenue forecasting and that data in our systems is accurate and complete. Support sales with commercially focused collaterals based on the methodology.
- Supporting PM Admin Onboarding: coordinating the administrative support that helps PMs focus on clients and project delivery.
Beyond these pillars, you contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring challenges across projects and finetuning the methodology to deliver more efficiently.
Your day-to-day responsibilities
- Monitor project portfolios, track key metrics and ensure data consistency across tools.
- Help identify and monitor project risks and issues. Advise on how to manage risk appropriately.
- Collaborate with PMs to ensure projects stay on track and meet quality expectations. Guide them toward best practices and connect them with the right experts.
- Organize and follow up on project reviews and stage gates internally (also serves as preparation for the customer Executive Steering Committee).
- Refining and maintaining project methodologies and documentation, using insights from the alignments and stage gates to make improvements.
- Provide onboarding, coaching and guidance for new PMs and PM admins.
- Coordinate the PM Community to foster knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Partner with IT to test and roll out updates to project management tooling.
- Collaborate with Finance to ensure correct project budgeting and forecasting.
- Contribute to internal initiatives that improve cross-team collaboration and operational excellence.

Your Skills and Interests
You’re an organized, proactive team player with a sharp eye for detail. You take ownership, communicate clearly, and enjoy bringing structure to complex situations.
You bring:
- At least 3 years of experience in a PMO role.
- Experienced with MS Projects, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
- Knowledge of JIRA and Power BI is a plus.
- Excellent written and spoken English (Dutch is a bonus).
- A proactive mindset: you don’t wait to be told but you anticipate, improve and act.
