Position Description

Location: Hanoi

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Accountant is a part of a global finance team and is primarily responsible for the provision and management of high-quality accounting support to the broader financial accounting function across subsidiaries in multiple locations globally, including the delivery of projects and other value adding items. This role is not Vietnam-specific.

Major Responsibilities

  • Key involvement in Monthly Financial reporting across our subsidiaries, including delivery on time and to quality standards for all finance members
  • Month end duties, including General ledger reconciliations and Profit & Loss ownership to ensure RightShip meets its statutory and reporting obligations
  • Key support in continuous improvement in financial processes and controls
  • Engage with key stakeholders across the business to build strong relationships and ensure alignment between financial objectives
  • Delivering Audit requirements within timeframes, including liaison with external auditors
  • Tax compliance requirements across our global subsidiaries
  • Adhoc finance items as directed

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor of Business / Commerce, majoring in Accounting or Finance – mandatory
  • Chartered Accountant or CPA – mandatory
  • Certificate of Chief Accountant, Vietnam – desirable but not mandatory
  • Experience working within the financial operations of a small or medium global international businesses is mandatory or in an accounting public practise highly regarded
  • Experience in Financial Reporting applying IFRS standards, across multiple currencies and jurisdictions in a global business essential
  • Experience (intermediate level or higher) with NetSuite accounting software (ERP) highly regarded, but not mandatory
  • Experience in finance system implementation and adaptability across multiple financial platforms highly regarded
  • Advanced excel skills required
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
