DevOps Engineer

We're looking for a versatile Devops Engineer to help us grow and support services across Outbrain infrastructure. 

Our scale is huge: we manage a fleet of 8000 servers across multiple on-prem and multi-public-cloud kubernetes environments, handling more than 8 million requests per second which generates multiple terabytes of data every day.

 

A day in the life

  • You will join an elite team of engineers, which are part of a bigger platform group.
  • You will help other engineers be efficient: you will discuss problems engineers are solving and you will consult and help them build optimal systems.
  • You will help build and maintain tools for monitoring and deployment for optimal delivery and performance in a fully Gitops based environment.
  • You will be on-call and will help developers resolve production issues.

  • Orchestration: Kubernetes, Jenkins
  • Coding: Go & Python
  • Config management: Ansible, Chef, Terraform
  • Datastores: Kafka, Aerospike, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Redis, Hadoop, BigQuery
  • Public clouds: Azure, GCP & AWS

 

What you’ll bring

  • 4+ Years of proven industry experience in developing in one or more languages, such as Go, Python, Java, or similar.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of Linux.
  • Good understanding of how Kuberenetes works (along with hands on experience)
  • Experience with helm - an advantage
  • Good understanding and knowledge of Linux and networking.
  • Experience working with deployment and orchestration technologies (such as Docker, Kubernetes, Chef, Ansible and Jenkins).
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, well-tested production code.

Technical Skills/Experience will be tested in the recruitment process.
