You will be accountable for ensuring that Nscale’s infrastructure roadmap is technically feasible, operationally scalable, and tightly aligned with product, customer, and commercial requirements. This includes translating high-level company strategy into executable infrastructure plans, balancing near-term delivery with long-term architectural decisions, and enabling predictable, high-quality execution across a rapidly scaling environment.
This is a critical leadership role at the intersection of infrastructure engineering, program execution, and business strategy. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Program Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Executive Leadership to ensure Nscale can scale globally with discipline, resilience, and technical excellence.
What You’ll Do
Portfolio Strategy, Architecture & Roadmapping
- Own the end-to-end portfolio of global datacenter buildouts, GPU cluster deployments, and infrastructure expansion initiatives
- Translate business, product, and customer demand signals into multi-quarter infrastructure roadmaps, capacity plans, and regional deployment strategies
- Define long-range GPU capacity, power, cooling, networking, and rack-level buildout plans, balancing performance, cost, and time-to-deploy
- Drive alignment between infrastructure architecture decisions and downstream impacts on reliability, scalability, and customer workloads
- Ensure portfolio decisions account for hardware lifecycle management, vendor constraints, and supply chain lead times
- Establish and operate portfolio-level governance frameworks covering planning, execution, risk management, and technical readiness
- Track progress across all infrastructure programs, proactively identifying cross-program dependencies, technical risks, and capacity constraints
- Provide technical and delivery oversight to Program Managers and delivery teams, ensuring consistent execution standards across regions
- Enforce rigor around technical documentation, design readiness, deployment checklists, and operational handoff
- Partner closely with Infrastructure Engineering, Datacenter Operations, Network Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure portfolio feasibility
- Act as the connective layer between technical teams and executive leadership, translating deep technical detail into clear trade-offs and decisions
- Lead executive-level portfolio reviews focused on capacity, delivery confidence, risk, and cost-performance
- Own portfolio-level resource and capacity planning, spanning internal teams, contractors, integrators, and hardware vendors
- Identify scaling constraints and work with leadership to support hiring, vendor onboarding, and delivery model evolution
- Optimize deployment throughput by addressing systemic bottlenecks across procurement, integration, testing, and commissioning
- Build and evolve repeatable infrastructure delivery frameworks, tooling, and metrics that improve predictability and transparency
- Analyze post-deployment data to drive improvements in deployment timelines, quality, reliability, and unit economics
- Establish portfolio-level best practices for capacity planning, risk management, and large-scale infrastructure execution
- Experience in portfolio management, technical program management, or infrastructure delivery leadership
- Strong hands-on background in datacenter infrastructure, cloud platforms, or large-scale hardware environments
- Proven experience managing multi-region, multi-workstream infrastructure portfolios at scale
- Deep understanding of GPU compute platforms, high-density racks, power and cooling design, networking, and datacenter operations
- Ability to lead and influence highly technical teams without direct authority
- Strong technical judgment, with the ability to evaluate architectural trade-offs and delivery risk
- Exceptional communication skills, including executive-level technical reporting and risk storytelling
- Data-driven mindset with experience using metrics to drive prioritization and execution decisions
- Comfortable operating in high-growth, ambiguous, and rapidly evolving technical environments
- Experience supporting AI/ML workloads in production environments
- Familiarity with high-performance networking (InfiniBand, RoCE), GPU cluster design, or accelerator scheduling
- Experience with CMDBs, asset lifecycle systems, or infrastructure capacity planning models
- Exposure to enterprise customers and collaboration with GTM or customer-facing teams
