Director Remote Assistance Operations (m/f/d)
Join us as a Director Remote Assistance Operations (m/f/d) in our Global Operator Enablement team on a shared journey that matters!
MOIA’s Global Operator Enablement Services (GOES) Organization is our delivery backbone — our mission-critical interface to operator customers worldwide. We transform innovative technology into operational success by delivering turnkey solutions that enable safe, scalable, and efficient autonomous mobility services.
As a cross-functional, fast-moving team, we integrate vehicle lifecycle enablement, digital platform provisioning, service operations, and customer support to deliver a seamless experience. Acting as the single point of contact for operators, GOES ensures end-to-end excellence.
In short: We bring MOIA’s pioneering products to life — reliably, globally, and ready to scale.
You will manage the Remote Service Operations & Safety Assurance teams that ensure safe and reliable autonomous vehicle performance through real-time, human-in-the-loop support. Operating 24/7 from international Remote Assistance centers, the team enables service continuity and rapid intervention when autonomy reaches its limits.
Working closely with Product, Engineering, and Safety, the team drives the development of tools, protocols, and workflows that meet regulatory and operational standards. As a key enabler of global autonomous vehicle deployment, Remote Assistance bridges the gap between autonomy and operational excellence.
What you will do
- Define and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for scaling Remote Assistance (RA) from testing to global commercial operations.
- Lead the international rollout of RA, ensuring alignment with product development and regulatory compliance.
- Serve as the central point of contact for RA strategy across leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Build and manage RA Operations Centers globally, including site setup, infrastructure, and technology deployment.
- Design and implement standardized workflows, escalation protocols, and safety measures for remote interventions.
- Ensure 24/7 operational readiness and continuity across all supported regions.
- Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing international team with strong training and certification programs.
- Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across distributed teams.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering on the development of intuitive RA tools and interfaces.
- Manage vendor partnerships, contracts, and performance metrics to support scalable and effective RA operations.
What will help you to fulfill your role
- Proven experience in complex operational environments (mobility, aviation, logistics, network control centers), with experience in a senior leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in launching and scaling operational units across international locations.
- Deep understanding of remote operations, AV systems, and safety-critical infrastructure.
- Strong cross-cultural leadership and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with experience using data to inform operational decisions and process improvements.
- Familiarity with European and international transport or safety regulations is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in English is required; German and other languages are a plus.
We encourage you to apply even if your profile does not meet all the requirements for the role since we are looking for a diverse range of experiences, skills, and interests. We are certain that there will be something for everyone because we are working on such a variety of tasks and embrace individual growth at MOIA.
