Business Development Manager (m/f/d)

Hamburg, Germany

Join us as a Business Development Manager (m/f/d) in our Business Development team on a shared journey that matters!

At MOIA, our Business Development team is on a mission: to bring our autonomous mobility technology to communities around the world. We work at the intersection of technology, public infrastructure, and society - collaborating with cities, transit authorities, and other partners to create safer, more accessible streets.

This is your chance to contribute to a meaningful product in an international, fast-moving environment. You’ll join a motivated team that values trust, curiosity, and impact; and have plenty of room to grow, shape your role, and make a real difference.

What you will do

In this B2B-focused role, you’ll identify and engage potential customers who want to license MOIA’s autonomous driving technology. From the initial conversation through to signed agreements, you’ll be a trusted advisor and key partner in enabling our clients to bring autonomous mobility to their communities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and qualifying strategic leads, from local municipalities to private mobility operators
  • Navigating complex sales cycles for a complex product and managing key stakeholder relationships (public and private clients)
  • Leading tender and proposal processes with cross-functional teams
  • Shaping and evolving our go-to-market approach based on market insights and customer feedback
  • Representing MOIA externally at conferences, meetings, and partnership events

What will help you to fulfill your role

We’re looking for an individual who thrives at the intersection of innovation and relationship-building. A confident communicator with a structured mindset and the ability to speak both “tech” and “policy.”

  • You have proven experience in B2B sales or business development, ideally in a technology or mobility service-related field.
  • You are confident in engaging with senior stakeholders - from public officials to C-level decision-makers.
  • You have experience leading or contributing to tender processes or public procurement projects.
  • You have a high level of ownership and motivation to work independently in a fast-changing environment
  • You have strong communication skills - clear, engaging, and able to adapt to different audiences.
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English; additional languages (especially German) are a plus.

We encourage you to apply even if your profile does not meet all the requirements for the role since we are looking for a diverse range of experiences, skills, and interests. We are certain that there will be something for everyone because we are working on such a variety of tasks and embrace individual growth at MOIA.

Our Future Work model

Since we love to collaborate, it is clear to us that we don't want to become a fully remote company, but we also don't need to spend every day of the week in the office to do a great job.

Our current hybrid work approach focuses on adapting to different needs, including increased flexibility that works best for the teams and the individuals with as much self-determination as possible.
