As Chief Product Officer (CPO), you will play a pivotal role in shaping our product vision, driving innovation, and leading the Product Department through an exciting period of growth. Your responsibility together with the management team is to continue keeping Menti an innovate and fast growing company, ensuring we unlock the power of together for over 1 billion people. You will report to the CEO, be part of the Menti management team as well as lead the Product Department management team.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define and communicate the overarching product vision and strategy to align with company goals and market opportunities.
- Stay ahead of market trends, customer needs, and technological advancements to drive product innovation.
- Work closely with the Mentimeter Management Team, including the Revenue Trio (CPO, CMO, CSO), to align product strategy with business and revenue objectives.
- Lead Mentimeter's transformation into a multi-product company, including customer understanding, market opportunities, and execution capability.
Product Department Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and inspire the Product Department Management Team to create a culture of collaboration, openness, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and execute a talent strategy to attract, retain, and grow top talent across Engineering, Product Management, and Design.
- Ensure seamless cross-functional collaboration between departments, particularly with Marketing and Sales.
Product Development and Execution
- Oversee the full product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and optimization, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.
- Prioritize product initiatives based on strategic importance, customer impact, and ROI.
- Implement and refine processes to enhance efficiency, speed, and quality in product development.
- Be decisive and effective in decision-making and execution.
Revenue Responsibility, Performance Management, and Metrics
- Drive revenue growth for Self-Service and support Enterprise revenue in collaboration with the Chief Sales Officer.
- Define, track, and improve product performance metrics to measure success and identify opportunities.
- Align product efforts with key metrics for the customer journey, such as PQL and PQA.
- Regularly report on product performance to the executive team and board, providing insights and recommendations for growth.
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making within the Product Department.
Customer and Market Focus
- Advocate for customer needs throughout the product development process, ensuring that feedback informs product decisions.
- Lead efforts to gather and analyze market data, customer insights, and competitive intelligence to inform strategy.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to ensure product-market fit and strong go-to-market strategies.
Technology and Design Excellence
- Promote best practices in software engineering, UX/UI design, research, and agile methodologies within the Product Department Leadership Team.
- Ensure scalable, user-friendly, and robust products through technical excellence.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in leading product teams as a CPO, VP of Product, or similar role in a B2B SaaS environment (10+ years).
- Demonstrated ability to build and scale products, from concept to execution, driving growth and revenue.
- Skilled in leading in high-complexity environments, managing ambiguity, and empowering teams to innovate and adapt.
- Strong expertise in at least one craft: Engineering, Product Management, or Design.
- Technically curious and interested in AI-driven product development.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and influence across all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to hire, develop, and retain top talent, building a culture of engagement and high performance.
- Deep understanding of the SaaS business model, enterprise customer needs, and technology trends.
- A passion for innovation and delivering exceptional user experiences.
What you will have to support you in your responsibilities:
- You will be part of Menti Management team that together has the responsibility to make Menti successful
- You will be part of Product Department Management Team where you will decide on which roles you need, to be a successful CPO
- A product department (engineers, designers and product managers) consisting of ca 120 brilliant people (with ca 50% in Engineering) & Product Data & Analytics consisting of 6 people
