Brand Protection Lawyer

Due to the product growth we are currently looking for experienced and results-driven Brand Protection Lawyer who will be responsible for safeguarding the company's intellectual property (IP) and brand protection.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive legal analysis, drafting and amending of internal and external marketing agreements agreements
• Ensuring that all proprietary rights for creative content, software, or branding materials produced by third-party contractors are legally transferred to the company
• Monitor trademark and copyright usage for infringement
• Work with enterprise-level monitoring tools to detect brand infringements, and unauthorized brand usage in real-time
• Respond to online infringement and brand disparagement
• Develop strategies and internal policies to protect the company's online reputation
• Manage the trademark and copyright registration process.
• Advise the company on all matters related to brand protection
• Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and product, to ensure brand consistency

Requirements

• At least 3 years in a legal role with a focus on Intellectual Property work with understanding of the specific regulatory landscape of high-risk financial services
• Proven track record of managing global Trademark portfolios, including registrations, renewals, and oppositions across multiple jurisdictions (EU, USA, South East Asia, LATAM, etc)
• Strong knowledge of international laws, with experience in multi-jurisdictional marketing compliance
• Experience in executing DMCA takedowns, reporting fraudulent mobile apps (App Store/Google Play), and removing defamatory content from social media and review platforms

Will be a plus

• Direct experience with UDRP (Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy) and managing domain name recoveries/buyouts
• Proficiency in using automated brand protection and social listening software
• Expetise in registering TMs in the USA
• Familiarity with online brand protection software
• Understanding of DNS, WHOIS data, and how phishing infrastructure works
