Head of Payment Devices Procurement & Vendor Strategy

Getnet Payments (Global team) is looking for a Head of Payment Devices Procurement & Vendor Strategy within the Global Product Team.

 

Getnet has the aim to consolidate payment businesses around the world through a differential value proposal in a business with great potential, creating the conditions and synergies to compete globally with the major international players in the sector.

Based on the unique value proposition and brand value of Getnet in Latam and Europe, Getnet will be expanding the acquiring franchise to additional markets. Nowadays, Getnet is the second largest acquirer in Latam (Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Brazil and Uruguay) and we already operate in Europe.

To achieve this goal, we are building a cloud based acquiring architecture in which products are built based on microservices and deployed at all markets simultaneously, shortening time to market and improving value for customers. In order to define and build this products, services catalogue and customer journeys, we aim to attract best talent.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSABILITIES

  • Lead the POS theme in a centralised and global manner, connecting and aligning the focal points of each country.
  • Perform detailed mapping of local capabilities, focusing on acquiring, POS terminals estate and other available devices and solutions.
  • Evaluate forecasts, investment strategies and technical/financial feasibility of initiatives in different regions.
  • Support the standardisation of the POS purchasing and management strategy on a global scale, proposing common frameworks and guidelines.
  • Work with local teams on the technical definition of POS devices, respecting the specificities of each market (country).
  • Negotiate with suppliers, evaluate proposals and analyse contracts with a global focus.
  • Bring together key stakeholders to ensure alignment and efficient execution, ensuring that countries follow global guidelines always looking for maximun efficiency.
  • Contribute with a constructive vision, proposing solutions and structures to strengthen the global governance of POS operations.
  • Build a global strategy with a focus on efficiency (costs).

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Solid training or experience in Operations or Products, with strong technical understanding of technology applied to payment methods with a focus on acquiring.
  • Skill in process mapping, strategic negotiation and defining scalable structures.
  • Experience with global contracts and suppliers, preferably in the context of POS devices and services.
  • Global vision, with a focus on standardisation, scalability and operational efficiency.
  • Ability to act and lead initiatives in multicultural and decentralised environments, reconciling global guidelines with local needs.
  • Hands-on and builder profile, with a focus on implementation, structuring and value delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills, articulation with stakeholders and cross-functional performance with various areas of business and technology.
  • English and Spanish are required and Portuguese is desirable.
  • Experience in payment methods, especially in acquiring and POS, is desirable.
