As People Operations Manager, you will be a member of our newly created global People Operations team, reporting to the VP, Global Head of People Operations. You will lead a team who will be responsible for supporting employees throughout their full lifecycle including but not limited to onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, creating and maintaining personnel records, employment changes in our Human Resource Information System (HRIS), and supporting with ad hoc people related inquiries. You will also act as a strategic partner to your People Partner colleagues in the US, Canada, LATAM, and Mexico. You will be part of a People team that is supporting and collaborating with all our Cision group offices around the world, and will be directly responsible for policy and compliance in The Americas in partnership with the VP, Global Head of People Operations.
You are detail oriented, comfortable leading a team and developing relationships with relevant stakeholders, and not intimidated by systems or data, also a team player that fundamentally believes we are stronger together.
What you'll do:
Lead and develop a team of 2-4 people who will support People Shared Services across The Americas.
Ensure the proper management of all things related to the employee E2E lifecycles such as onboarding, offboarding, employment verifications, data entries and changes in the HRIS, contract extensions, and leave management.
Ensure the proper organization, maintenance, and accuracy of personnel records.
Ensure a first-class level of support to Cision employees by ensuring the team is managing a People team inbox and responding to employee inquiries in a timely manner.
Oversee and help the team to work closely with our internal payroll team to collate and manage accurate and timely data before the end of each monthly pay cycle (if/as needed).
Support the People Partners with general administration and special projects as needed.
Work closely with the VP, Global Head of People Operations on strategic projects such as onboarding and offboarding processes, central file management platform, handbook and policy harmonization, People Team data and system training.
Own and evaluate the contractor management process for The Americas
Audit payroll data/ inputs and act as the point of escalation for the team
Act as the default HRIS approver on behalf of the VP, Global Head of People Operations
Draft and arrange employee communications as needed in partnership with the Global Head of Employee Experience.
Co-create and regularly update the People knowledge hub (intranet) consisting of various employee forms, policy and FAQ documents
Provide counsel and training where needed to other members of the People Team on local policies, employment practices and payroll impact
Help to maintain employee handbooks, policy documents. Work closely with the Legal team and external advisors to ensure compliance with current local legislation
What you'll have:
US employment policy knowledge
Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills
Minimum 2-3 years prior experience in similar role or field of work
Excellent MS Office Suite skills and experience
Experience with UKG and ADP is a plus
You are:
Detail oriented and have a structured approach to your daily tasks
Comfortable working with data, numbers and formulas within Excel, including functions like Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.
Confident with HRIS and employee data management systems
Eager to work in a global team and lean in to support other employee groups as needed
Service-minded, ‘Can do’, problem-solving attitude to both small and big tasks
Physical Requirements: Job requires employee to sit for extended periods of time.
For Individuals based in New York, Illinois, Colorado, Washington, and California, Cision is required to disclose a salary range for this role. This compensation range is specific to these states, however base pay may vary depending on a range of relevant factors.
New York Pay Range
$80,000 - $85,000 USD
