Accountant

An accountant’s role is to support the organization by ensuring that all financial records and reporting are up to standard, updated and maintained regularly. An accountant is responsible for working with third parties, banks or auditors, to keep business finances on track.
Responsibilities
- Overall management and development of the accounting team
- Manage and oversee the entire spectrum of accounting function; GL, AR, AP
- Responsible for timely and accurate month end reports.
- Coordination of the month end and internal reporting process; review journal entries, reporting packages and systems uploads; prepare various analytical management reports
- Review financial data for accuracy, correctness and completeness
- Identify and implement processes improvements
- Perform ad hoc financial analyses as needed. Effectively communicate with all levels within the organization to resolve issues
- VAT Reporting
- Prepare and review balance sheet and reconciliations
- Ensure accuracy of Fixed Asset / Inventory registers
- Ensure completion and accuracy of intercompany reconciliations
- Monitoring Cash flow
- Manage and oversee the financial audit
- Ensure compliance to IFRS and the establishment of accounting policies and procedures with respect to internal controls and the facilitation of business transactions
- Drive and manage system improvements and implementations; ERP, Invoices management etc.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Accounting/Finance
- Proficient in Excel
- Ability to work under pressure
- Service and Quality oriented
- Action orientated and pro-active
- Experience of working within a high-growth technology company
- Strong entrepreneurial business judgement
- Highly organized and great attention to details
- Proactive and motivated by new challenges
