About the Role 

As Bid Programme Manager (BPM) you’ll be responsible for managing the internal client RFx interfaces plus where required, external client BPM interactions. This entails leading the end-to-end RFx processes during the client opportunity development stage of a site / facility being offered for leasing. Your role will be a highly networked role that requires the ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines orchestrating RFx contributions from extended RFx teams and stakeholders. This is principally from client capacity demand signals through RFx response processes up to lease signing plus continuing during lease formation to site development commencement. The role will be liaising with internal RFx stakeholders and supporting project teams with their management of client project teams and their related stakeholders. Duties are principally focused on orchestrating quality responses to client specific RFx requirements plus to ensure that the clients’ RFx processes are followed towards ensuring smooth contracting formation negotiations. 

 

Candidates who excel will have excellent organisational and commercial skills around bidding / RFx processes including project, teams and documentation management. Strong interpersonal plus communication skills in dealing with various different project stakeholders within a virtual environment will be essential. Knowledge of the data center industry is preferred, however more important is understanding the entire RFx cycle, related project management and selection / prioritisation processes within clients’ procurement management. The role will cover multiple projects with multiple clients simultaneously across the portfolio.  

 

 

Main Responsibilities 

 

  • Orchestration of the specific client RFx responses by collaboration with opportunity leads to develop a clear client response framework 
  • Develop and improve client RFx responses management processes 
  • Alignment of RFx responses with organisational strategies towards fulfilling Client requirements.  
  • Manage all communication, inputs and outputs to and from the internal stakeholder teams in relation to the RFx submission 
  • Actively managing deadlines, anticipate submission risks and develop mitigation strategies 
  • Achieve internal contributors sign-off of the offered facility prior to client submission 
  • Management & progress tracking plus reporting throughout RFx / SOQ / Bid process. 
  • Ensure internal governance adherence. 
  • Ensure all client requested RFx requirements are addressed 
  • On-time submission of client RFx responses with quality and completeness of responses and compliance evidence  
  • Co-ordinate and plan client presentations required as part of the RFx submissions 
  • Drive continuous improvement including post-RFx reviews 
  • Champion virtual team collaboration, document management and version control 

 

 

Qualifications and experience 

  • Experience of data centre environment / project management 
  • Preference for experience in managing virtual and multi-site teams  
  • Portfolio of successful past client RFx submissions and projects 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Creative and passionate about creating solutions to customer problems 
  • Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision 
  • Flexible to travel to clients or suppliers as required of the job
