About the Role 

A very exciting opportunity for an important role within the business working under the Regional Financial Controller and closely with the Design and Construction team for the EMEA region. The role will be responsible for all end to end processes for asset companies (“assetcos”) within the region, including financial reporting and analysis to EMEA regional finance. 

 

Main responsibilities 

  • Overall financial responsibility for operating AssetCo entities within the region  
  • Review and presentation of monthly results in line with Group policies and timelines 
  • Perform all related accounting functions associated with AssetCo’s, including account reconciliation and financial statements 
  • Responsible for the month end closing and management of accounts 
  • Perform monthly variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements 
  • Liaising with the Design and Construction team to ensure actual and budget monitoring 
  • Debt covenants, monitoring and payment 
  • Year end responsibilities for AssetCo’s including preparation of financial statements and completion of audits within strict timeframes 
  • Ensure the accounting policy applied is correct for all entities and consistent per the Group Reporting framework.  
  • Interface and collaborate with other departments on monthly draws, cash management, tax filings, along with other items. 
  • Supporting the Financial Controller with activities as required.  
  • Identify and drive process improvements 
  • Actively be visible to the group functions, acting as the go-to contact for the AssetCo’s. 

 

Qualifications and experience 

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CA) 
  • 3-4+ experience of working in a finance role 
  • Strong presentation, analytical skills, people management, communication and organisation skills 
  • Self-motivator, problem solver, provide recommendations and solutions to challenges 
  • A self-starter who is able to plan, organise and take initiatives to meet job objectives and deadlines independently 
  • Detail oriented, methodical, and conscientious 
  • Ability to interact with people at all levels 
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment 
  • Strong quality control bias, problem solver 
  • Organizational and time management skills; adhere to strict deadlines
