About the Role
The Construction Project Manager is a senior role responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of complex projects within an organization. This position requires exceptional project management, leadership, and strategic planning skills to ensure successful project execution and achievement of organizational goals. The Construction Project Manager is responsible for leading project teams, developing project strategies, managing budgets, and ensuring project outcomes align with the organization's objectives.
Main Responsibilities
/ Project Leadership: Provide visionary leadership to project teams, setting clear objectives, and guiding them toward successful project completion.
/ Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation. Ensure alignment with organizational strategy.
/ Team Management: Recruit, lead, and mentor project managers and team members. Foster a collaborative and high-performing project team culture.
/ Stakeholder Communication: Establish effective communication channels with internal and external stakeholders. Provide regular project updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
/ Resource Allocation: Manage project budgets, resources, and expenditures. Optimize resource allocation to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
/ Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively address issues that may impact project success.
/ Quality Assurance: Implement quality control processes to maintain project quality standards. Conduct regular assessments and audits to ensure compliance.
/ Change Management: Evaluate and manage changes in project scope, schedule, or objectives. Develop change management strategies and communicate changes to relevant parties.
/ Strategic Planning: Align project objectives with the organization's strategic goals. Ensure that projects contribute to the overall success and growth of the organization.
/ Performance Evaluation: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success. Monitor and evaluate project performance and outcomes.
/ Contract Management: Oversee vendor and supplier contracts, negotiations, and relationships. Ensure contract compliance and vendor performance.
/ Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that projects adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Qualifications and experience
/ Bachelor's degree in business, project management, engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
/ Extensive experience in project management, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
/ Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
/ Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
/ Proficiency in project management software and tools.
/ Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
/ Financial acumen for budget management.
/ Experience in risk management and change management.
/ PMP or other relevant project management certification is a plus.
