About the Opportunity
This is an exceptional opportunity for a strategic commercial leader to establish, scale, and accelerate Teads' brand presence in South Korea. Based in Seoul, this role sits within our APAC Commercial department, reporting directly to the Managing Director, Korea.
Following our recent global scaling phases, you will be responsible for driving our premium advertiser-first and agency partnerships across the South Korean market. You will collaborate daily with regional Demand Operations, Product, and Client Services teams to solve complex market challenges and build long-term sustainable revenue streams.
What will you do?
Core Mission & Alignment
- Spearhead Teads' commercial growth strategy in South Korea, acting as the primary business driver to establish and scale our market presence.
- Orchestrate strategic alignment with local managing directors, regional leadership, and cross-functional teams (Operations, Product, and Marketing) to translate global objectives into localized market success.
Scope & Leadership
- Own the end-to-end sales lifecycle, from high-level prospecting to final contract execution, with top-tier brands and major local agencies (such as Cheil, Innocean, HSAD, Daehong) and major holding agencies (such as WPP Media, Publicis, Dentsu, Omnicom) in Seoul.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing commercial team, fostering a culture of high accountability, strategic thinking, and relentless customer focus.
Success Metrics
- Deliver on ambitious quarterly and annual revenue targets, securing long-term retention and expansion of client portfolios.
- Accelerate Teads' market share in South Korea, achieving a 30%+ year-over-year growth in programmatic and media sales over the next 12 months.
Strategy & Innovation
- Architect and execute a high-impact commercial roadmap for South Korea, identifying market trends and competitive gaps to capture new revenue streams.
- Spearhead the positioning of Teads' premium programmatic ad-tech solutions and creative offerings, tailoring our value proposition to South Korean advertisers.
- Drive adoption of innovative advertising technologies, including AI-driven optimization tools and cookieless solutions, across local agency partners.
Execution & Flawless Delivery
- Own and optimize the South Korean sales pipeline, maintaining absolute system accuracy in internal platforms (such as Salesforce) to track forecasting and business performance.
- Negotiate and secure high-value commercial agreements and joint business partnerships (JBPs) with major agencies and direct advertisers.
- Oversee campaign delivery metrics and operational performance, collaborating with Ad Operations to ensure campaigns meet strict SLA guidelines and maximize client ROI.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
- Cultivate trusted, advisory relationships with C-suite executives and key decision-makers across the South Korean digital media ecosystem.
- Partner with regional and global product teams to feed back localized market requirements, influencing the product development roadmap.
- Collaborate daily with Creative and Marketing teams to design compelling, data-driven pitches and present world-class solutions to key clients.
What will you bring to the team?
Must-Haves
- Proven Experience: 10+ years of high-impact digital advertising, ad-tech, or media sales experience, with a solid track record of exceeding revenue targets in a Sales Director or Senior Sales Lead role.
- Market Network: An active, deeply established personal network of C-suite executives and decision-makers across major holding agencies (GroupM, Publicis, Dentsu, Omnicom) and top brands in Seoul.
- Ad-Tech Proficiency: Deep functional understanding of the programmatic ecosystem, DSP/SSP mechanics, audience targeting, and online video/display advertising.
- Language Fluency: Bilingual fluency in written and verbal Korean and professional English, enabling seamless collaboration with local partners and global teams.
- Location: Right to work in South Korea/Seoul without requiring future visa sponsorship.

- Ecosystem Scaling: Prior experience navigating massive organizational change, post-merger integration, or scaling a global ad-tech firm within the South Korean market.
- Leadership Excellence: Demonstrated ability to manage, mentor, and elevate commercial sales teams in high-growth environments.
