About the role:
As a Motion Graphics Designer on our central design team, you’ll define, prototype, and scale our product’s motion language. Embedded within the design systems team, you’ll develop reusable motion patterns, shape motion principles, and ensure our products feel intuitive, responsive, and emotionally intelligent across every surface.
This role requires deep animation craft, a systems mindset, and strong cross-functional collaboration with design, marketing, brand/creative team, and accessibility partners. You’ll contribute to a growing system that supports thousands of interactions at scale.
What You’ll Do
- Define and evolve the product-wide motion language - easing, duration, and behavioural standards that guide animations across platforms.
- Conceptualize, storyboard, and animate high-quality motion graphics for product explainers, social campaigns, onboarding flows, and in-app experiences.
- Collaborate with product, creative peers, social media managers, copywriters, designers and marketing stakeholders to bring ideas to life through compelling motion.
- Create assets optimized for web, mobile, social, and product (using tools like After Effects, Lottie, Figma)
- Take the lead on some projects and support others, from shortform Reels to longer animated explainers.
- Contribute to a culture of design excellence through motion critiques, demos, and documentation sprints.
- Maintain consistency with our brand’s motion language while evolving it as needed.
- Use feedback loops productively and help iterate toward better outcomes.
What you need to succeed
- 3-5 years designing UI animations, micro-interactions, or motion systems across web and mobile.
- Strong portfolio that reflects storytelling, not just flashy effects - showcasing applied motion design in product environments, ideally at scale.
- Expertise in tools like After Effects, Lottie, Rive, Principle, Framer, and Figma’s prototyping features - plus working knowledge of CSS for implementation and accessibility.
- Deep understanding of timing, easing, anticipation, and hierarchy - grounded in UX principles.
- Experience working in or with design systems - building reusable, documented motion assets and patterns.
- Excellent time management and communication skills - ability to manage your time well, especially in a fast paced environment, balance multiple projects, and communicate clearly.
- Result-focused mindset and a strategic thinker, not just animator - You approach motion as a tool for storytelling and performance.
- Excellent in additional skills like video editing and sound design.
- Experience in fintech, SaaS, or other design-critical product teams is a plus.
What you’ll get
- The opportunity to work on cutting-edge fintech products that impact millions of users.
- A collaborative and design-driven culture that values creativity and innovation.
- Exposure to a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a talented cross-functional team.
- Competitive compensation and benefits.
- Remote-friendly work culture, with access to learning resources.
What to expect in the hiring process
- Application & portfolio review - we’re looking for strong motion case studies with context, rationale, and real-world application.
- Recruiter call - a short conversation about your background, goals, and motion experience.
- Design interview - a deep dive into your motion process, toolkits, decision-making, and collaboration approach.
- Motion design challenge - a brief, open-ended scenario to assess motion craft, systems thinking, and communication.
- Final conversation - with design leadership to assess your systems alignment, vision, and culture fit.
How to apply:
If this role speaks to you, we’d love to see your work. Please apply with your CV and a portfolio that showcases motion design in real product environments - not just what you made, but why you made it. We’re especially interested in examples that balance system thinking with emotional design, delight, and usability.
