Technical Platform Owner (all genders) - OTA

Join us as a Technical Platform Owner (all genders) - OTA in our Embedded Systems team and help shape the future of autonomous mobility!
What you will do
Platform Strategy & Roadmap
- Vision & Roadmap: Define the long-term vision and strategic roadmap for the entire OTA platform, spanning the in-vehicle embedded system and the cloud backend.
- Make vs. Buy Analysis: Critically evaluate and analyze internal development capabilities against available off-the-shelf (OTS) solutions for key OTA software components (e.g., delta update generators, in-vehicle clients, security modules). Derive an educated make/buy decision to strategically build the roadmap and optimize resource allocation.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary contact with engineering, safety/security, manufacturing, customer experience, and business development teams to gather requirements and manage expectations.
- Prioritization: Own the platform backlog, prioritizing features, user stories, and technical debt based on business value, technical feasibility, and regulatory & standards compliance (e.g., UNECE R 156, ISO 21434).
Technical Ownership & Architecture
- Technical Definition: Work closely with the EE/Software Architects to technically define the end-to-end OTA solution, ensuring consistency between in-vehicle update clients (embedded software) and cloud services (backend).
- Security & Compliance: Ensure all platform requirements include necessary security measures (encryption, authentication) and satisfy regulatory standards for functional safety and cyber security (ISO 21434).
- Embedded Interface: Define the technical requirements for the embedded software interfaces (ECUs, Gateways) to facilitate robust and efficient updates.
Execution & Delivery
- Translating high-level requirements and roadmap into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
- KPIs & Performance: Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the platform, such as update success rate, deployment time, and system reliability.
What will help you to fulfill your role
- Technical Background: Strong foundation in embedded software or EE architecture, with a demonstrable understanding of ECU communication (CAN, Ethernet) and diagnostics.
- OTA Domain Expertise: Proven experience working specifically with OTA platforms/products, understanding the full lifecycle from software build to vehicle deployment.
- Product Ownership/Management: Profound experience as a Product Owner, Platform Owner, or Technical Program Manager, managing complex technical products/platforms.
- Cross-Domain Knowledge: Ability to converse fluently with both embedded software engineers (C/C++, AUTOSAR) and cloud/backend developers (APIs, Microservices, Cloud Platforms).
- Communication & Leadership: Exceptional communication, presentation, and leadership skills with the ability to influence technical direction without direct authority.
