Project House Lead (all genders) - Vehicle Electronics & Software Delivery Accelerator

Hamburg, Germany

Join us as a Project House Lead (all genders) - Vehicle Electronics & Software Delivery Accelerator in our Embedded Systems team and help shape the future of autonomous mobility!

The Project House Lead establishes and runs a fast-paced execution environment (“Project House”) focused on resolving critical vehicle electronics and software challenges, accelerating integration, and enabling stable, frequent releases.

This role brings together cross-functional experts, suppliers, and developers into a structured, results-driven setting to solve high-priority technical issues. Acting as an orchestrator rather than a traditional line manager, the Project House Lead ensures clarity, speed, accountability, and measurable outcomes.

What you will do

  • Build and institutionalize the Project House framework, governance, and ways of working
  • Define intake criteria, prioritization logic, and escalation paths and create a high-energy, delivery-focused culture emphasizing ownership and rapid decision-making
  • Lead structured “boot camp” initiatives targeting integration blockers, quality issues, or release risks and break down complex technical problems into executable workstreams
  • Bring together cross-functional teams efficiently and act as a neutral integrator to overcome silo thinking
  • Support program teams in stabilizing builds and improving release readiness and promote best practices for CI/CD, test automation, and integration maturity

What will help you to fulfill your role

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or similar
  • Solid track record in automotive development (in best case tier 1 or OEM) or similarly complex embedded systems environments
  • Strong understanding of vehicle E/E architecture and software integration
  • Proven experience in navigating late-stage integration challenges and deep understanding of modern software delivery practices (e.g., CI/CD, DevOps mindset, incremental releases)
  • Demonstrated success in taskforce, turnaround, or crisis-style environments and exceptional ability to structure ambiguity into actionable plans
  • Highly persuasive with senior engineers and leadership alike as well as skilled at aligning teams without formal authority
  • Pragmatic, outcome-oriented, resilient, and ability to thrive under pressure and tight deadlines
