This position is based in Berlin, Germany, with 3 days working at the office.

 

We are starting a new team here at IDnow, focused on creating a powerful orchestration engine. This engine will help us build new and exciting features for our identity verification products.

We are looking for Product Engineers to join this team. We want developers who are comfortable working on all parts of a project, from the user interface to the backend systems, with a strong focus on the product and its users. If you enjoy taking ownership of your work and want to be part of a collaborative team building something new and important, this role could be a great fit for you. Key Responsibilities

As a Product Engineer on this team, you will work end-to-end to build and improve our new orchestration engine and its related interfaces. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and enhance the core orchestration engine that powers new product opportunities.
  • Design and build the interfaces needed for creating and managing different identity verification workflows, keeping the user experience in mind.
  • Create user-friendly interfaces for our operations team and customers to provide transparency and enable self-service support.
  • Ensure the orchestration engine operates with high performance and reliability in a production environment.
  • Implement automated tests for your work to maintain high quality and verify functionality continuously.

Preferred Experience

  • Around 3+ years of professional experience with our tech stack cited above (fully or partially), showing solid technical know-how and proficiency in this stack.
  • You are able to independently implement complex features and functionalities based on specifications within this stack.
  • You can use testing frameworks effectively.
  • You have the ability to be autonomous and work with minimum necessary supervision on assignments.
  • You possess a product-focused mindset, able to take ownership of implementing features from specifications to deployment.
  • Highly proficient in English, as it is our working language. Additional languages are a plus.

 

Nice-to-have's

  • Some exposure to or willingness to learn about DevOps practices (e.g., deployment, monitoring, infrastructure basics).
  • Experience with orchestration systems (e.g., durable execution engines, workflow orchestration, stateful or event-driven systems).
