Our Award Winning* team manages the tax requirements of all Ocado companies both in the UK and internationally, and is a key link between various stakeholders. We currently have a full time vacancy for an established International Tax specialist to support a range of global (excluding USA) international tax advisory and reporting requirements across the business, combined with the review of externally prepared compliance. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a relatively new tax team in a FTSE group with great ambition for growth, reporting directly to the Head of Direct Tax and Reporting.

Accountabilities
The role focuses on supporting our current international operations (our Ocado Solutions business and our various R&D centres) as well as supporting our planned international growth ensuring compliance and efficiency. Reporting to the Head of Direct Tax and Reporting, here are some of the responsibilities you can expect in the role:
- Review/maintain transfer pricing model and ensure compliance with documentation requirements, including the Guidelines for Compliance
- Support the definition and implementation of the tax strategy and tax policies, aligned with overall business objectives and regulatory environment
- Initial research on tax landscape in new territories and any commercial risks, to optimise outcomes for the business (e.g. cash repatriation), seeking external advice as needed
- Identify and deliver relevant commercial opportunities including establishing, quantifying and tracking of all incentives and other beneficial agreements with tax authorities
- Monitor, interpret, and apply international tax legislative changes and prospective changes, providing technical/business briefings as required,
- Design and implement approach to BEPS Pillar II compliance
- Identify, monitor and manage international tax risks
- Ensure international tax obligations are fulfilled, working closely with Finance colleagues and external advisors (where relevant)
- Management of outsource providers and international tax audits
- Deliver international tax aspects of half year and year end reporting
- Provide tax related guidance to the wider business across all relevant processes (eg. employment, procurement, supply chain)
- Support with tax related queries and be a ‘go to’ contact for international tax matters
- Develop and deliver training to the business to support (i) tax challenges of operating internationally; and (ii) understanding of and compliance with tax policies and standards
- Support transformation and business change activities with tax expertise and guidance
- Seek to identify and implement process efficiencies (continuous improvement mindset)
- Consistently championing Ocado’s values and supporting the personal development of team members
About you
- Qualified ACA or equivalent and /or CTA with 5+ years PQE
- Experience of working in a broad international tax environment, researching new territories and monitoring tax developments
- Experience of communicating complex tax issues to non-tax stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and act on your own initiative
- Mindset for continuous learning for themselves, the tax team and the wider Finance community
