Ocado provides end-to-end online grocery fulfilment solutions to thirteen of the world’s largest grocery retailers and holds a 50% share of Ocado Retail Ltd in the UK in a Joint Venture with Marks & Spencer. Ocado has spent two decades innovating for grocery online, investing in a wide technology estate that includes robotics, AI & machine learning, simulation, forecasting, and edge intelligence.

Our Communications and Investor Relations teams are responsible for developing Ocado Group's corporate narrative and educating a wide range of audiences about our business. These audiences include global media outlets, investors, equity analysts, industry experts and more. We are responsible both for maintaining a robust proactive communications strategy across the world, as well as managing the day to day demands of an unpredictable news environment.

 

About the role

Reporting to Ocado’s Global Head of Comms, the new role of Senior Corporate Communications Executive will support the delivery of Ocado Group’s comms and investor relations strategy. 

This role will have a key focus on helping develop content and strategy for major events in our communications calendar, including results announcements. 

It will also support day to day content development for Ocado’s digital channels and help manage the busy external engagement calendar for senior Ocado executives across capital market events, media interviews, and major industry platforms

 

Experience we seek

  • Strong background in financial PR, gained either in-house or in an agency
  • B2B expertise and knowledge of financial, retail and technology media is preferred 
  • Evidence of building and developing relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and collaborators 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • A confident approach to advising senior spokespeople
  • A keen eye for detail 
  • A positive/collaborative mindset
  • A strong team-player
  • Someone who is inquisitive, organised and able to balance multiple priorities 
  • A keen interest in Ocado’s technology proposition
